Medical Waste & Sharps Disposal
Sharps and medical waste must be handled carefully to protect people and the environment. Dahl Disposal makes it easy to safely dispose of needles, syringes, and other household sharps through our drop-off program and approved containers.
What counts as Household Medical Waste?
Household medical waste includes anything that could puncture, contaminate, or harm during handling.
Examples include:
- Used needles or lancets (sharps)
- Syringes with or without needles
- Scalpel blades & lancets
- Glass tubes
- Epinephrine auto-injectors (e.g., EpiPens)
Safe Disposal Instructions
Sharps must be placed in a sealed, approved red sharps container.
Instructions:
- Place used items in your red sharps container
- Do not overfill
- Secure the lid completely
- Bring it to a designated drop-off location. Do NOT place in your trash
- Loose needles in plastic bags or bottles will not be accepted

Where to Drop Off Medical Waste
Medical waste is not accepted curbside. Sealed sharps containers may be dropped off during regular business hours our two drop-off facilities.
