Job Description:

With appropriate knowledge and training a Customer Service Representative will work with direct supervisor and function as the liaison between Dahl Companies and our customers to deliver the highest level of Customer Service.
Responsibilities:
- Responds in a timely and accurate manner to customer calls, ensuring that their issues and concerns are treated in a respectful and professional manner.
- Effectively responds to routine issues regarding general service matters, which may involve outbound calls and other communications to resolve simple issues including billing questions, service inquiries, or cancellations.
- Greets all incoming transfer station customers and inspects incoming loads to ensure materials are acceptable, and applicable forms are completed.
- Operates scales, collects fees, and/or posts charges to appropriate accounts.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of records pertaining to daily operations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

- Ability to quickly learn new software, systems, processes, and our products.
- Ability to process a high volume of transactions with proficiency, accuracy, and integrity.
- Proficient organizational and time management skills to multi-task and prioritize multiple customers’ demands simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through written and verbal communication.
- Team player with a can do and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods and move between office and transfer station areas as needed.
- Ability to perform frequent keyboarding/typing, phone use, and computer work.
- Ability to communicate with customers in person and by phone, including hearing and speaking clearly.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to bend, reach, and walk on uneven surfaces in an active yard/transfer station environment.
- Ability to work in environments with noise, dust, odors/fumes, and varying temperatures/weather when assisting at the transfer station.
Days & Hours of Work
- Usual Operating Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Saturday
- 40 hours/week; days & hours of scheduled work subject to change
- Occasional evening meetings and weekend opportunities
- Overtime eligible
